A 1935 museum housing a collection of buses, coaches and commercial vehicles some of which are unique examples. Vehicles can be seen in both restored and unrestored condition. Castle Point Transport Museum is situated in the former Canvey & District bus depot in Point Road, Canvey Island, Essex. The building, built in 1935 is a collectors item in itself. The Society aims to develop a working transport museum encouraging the restoration and preservation of commercial vehicles and specialises in public transport vehicles Around 35 vehicles are on display spanning the years 1929 to 1972. A particular feature is the collection of the Eastern National Preservation Group which is based at the museum.
